Winter Engagement Photos in Toronto
When Natasha approached me to do some winter engagement photos in Toronto for her, I was right away really excited since I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot anywhere in the city. This small town wedding photographer was tickled pink about this adverture.
I asked her all about her fiancé, and their engagement.
This is their story…..
“In 2008, Shawn and I met at University of Toronto where we had a mutual friend. Little did we know how much impact we would have in each other lives. We have been each other’s rock from the very beginning through many study nights where we realized we had a lot in common that grew into something special as we spent more time together.
Being together for six years, we have been through some challenging moments with long distance. But through distance, Shawn has taught me no matter how difficult it is and how much distance there was, he made an effort to show me love, support, and be understanding to the times that I thought were impossible.
On the night of Saturday December 29, 2013 he took me to my favourite bridge that overlooked Toronto’s skyline and knelt on one knee in the snow where he proposed saying I was his best friend and life has taught us that we can go through anything where we never give up on each other, and no matter what we go through we are each other’s rock. I am his best friend and he is mine and there was nothing better then being in love with your best friend and spending the rest of your life together because life would be so much more amazing. He was right, there is no one else better to spend your life with except your best friend. I said yes immediately!”
So on the day of their 6th anniversary, Adam and I got to hang out with Natasha and Shawn at the University of Toronto, and then stroll along Yorkville, witnessing the magic connection they have, and having an absolute blast!
The skies might have been cloudy and grey, but their love for one another shone like the golden sun.
