Intimate Wedding & Woodlot Restaurant Reception – Tony & Ewa
Tony & Ewa are from Calgary, but had planned a very intimate Toronto Wedding, and The Woodlot Restaurant reception, surrounded by close friends and family.
This was a Greek Orthodox wedding, my first, and I was really honoured that they chose me to be their wedding photographer.
They gathered in front of their very closest friends and family at St. Nikolaus Greek Orthodox Church in Scarborough. There were so many beautiful traditions to capture, it was really such a cool experience for me, and my second shooter Brad. We both marveled at the beautiful warmth of the church, and the even warmer welcome recieved from everyone. We instantly felt part of the family.
They left the church to be congratulated with a shower of white rice, before we all headed to The Woodlot restaurant. The couple chose the perfect venue, which they had all to themselves. Warm wood and exposed brick, wood fired oven, incredibly hospitable staff and an amazing menu with great music playing in the background. Seriously such a great atmosphere.
The couple wanted just a quick photo session before rejoining their guests, so we stuck close to the Woodlot, embracing the graffiti that artfully painted the exterior walls. A short walk about, a few hugs and kisses and we were back at the Woodlot where the party was heating up.
Here is Tony & Ewa’s Greek Orthodox wedding and Reception at The Woodlot.
Special thanks to the couple and their families for making us feel so welcome, you are all truly blessed to have eachother!
Thanks also to Brad Q for being my 2nd set of eyes.
