Spring Family Photos – My Fam Jam and Keith’s Birthday 2020
It’s really hot out.
Today is actually June 18th – dont let the post date fool ya. I had all intentions of creating this post buuuut things got super busy with the house, the yard and then the garden; which Ive been in for weeks on end now. It never ceases to amaze me how much work it is – getting things planted, and attempting to keep some level of organic control over thing (weeds, bugs etc); but today I am hiding out, in the office, out of the sun. Its a short lived break, as later today we are baling hay.
Things are about to get sweatier. And itchier.
Before garden season went full swing, we had birthday season. Ollie at the end of March, Pearson in mid April, and Keith, the oldest; at the start of May.
All the boys had their birthdays in isolation. No guests, except for those who joined us via zoom. There were no parties, but we had cake and presents just the same.
The younger boys never really want much in the way of a party, but this year Keith spoke up… back at Christmas that is! He told us that all he wanted was to have his birthday at Super Burger; an incredible, newly renovated (and fully licesned) establishment located just north of Orangeville, and just a few mins away from Grandma’s. The plan was to have everyone meet us at Super Burger, eat and be merry.
Covid put a kink in that plan; and even though Keith at the ripe age of 8 totally understood all that Covid is and the limitations that were in place – I was heartbroken for him. I wasnt about to let Covid-10 wreck all his original plans, so our party of 5 hit the road; and made the one hour drive to get a burger; take out of course since dine in wasnt an option yet.
We took our grub down to our favourite river spot; where we ate and explored. Of course with that came some wet socks and pants, which thankfully I had anticipated, and for once I came fully prepared.
